FOUNDERS' STORY | LIVING BETTER FOR LONGER

I’m in My 80s. I Still Have More I Want to Do.

What led my wife and me to learn about Urolithin A — and eventually create Lonvanta.

By Rudolph Walcott, Co-Founder of Lonvanta™

Living Longer Wasn’t Really the Point

There is a lot of talk today about longevity.

How do we live longer?

How do we slow aging?

What should we eat?

What should we take?

Those are reasonable questions.

But I began thinking about something a little different.

What good are more years if we cannot participate fully in them?

For me, the goal is not simply adding time.

It is being able to make good use of the time that is here.

I still exercise.

I still run a business with my wife.

I still enjoy learning new things and trying new technology.

I like being able to contribute, solve problems and have a good conversation.

That is what matters to me.

And I suspect I’m not the only person who feels that way.

As we get older, many of us are not really asking to become young again.

We want to preserve as much as we reasonably can.

Our strength.

Our independence.

Our curiosity.

Our ability to get up and do the things we still want to do.

Juliette and I eventually found a simple way to describe that goal:

Living Better for Longer.

That became more than a slogan for us.

It became the reason I started paying closer attention to the science of healthy aging.

Because even when you are trying to do the right things, age has a way of reminding you that your body does not always respond the way it once did.

Things can take a little more out of you.

Recovery may not feel quite the same.

Maintaining your strength and activity can require more attention.

I wasn’t looking for a stimulant.

I wasn’t looking for a dramatic burst of energy.

And I wasn’t interested in a shelf full of pills promising to make me young again.

I wanted to know whether there was anything credible, simple and practical that made sense alongside the things I was already doing.

So I started reading.

And eventually I came across something I had hardly heard about before.

That Search Led Me to Urolithin A

The name was Urolithin A.

I’ll admit, it didn’t exactly roll off the tongue.

But what caught my attention was not the name.

It was what researchers were studying.

I kept coming across the word mitochondria.

You may remember mitochondria from school. They are tiny structures inside our cells that play an important role in producing the energy our cells need to function.

Researchers are also interested in what happens to mitochondrial quality as we age.

Our cells have natural processes for identifying and removing mitochondria that are no longer working as they should.

One of those processes is called mitophagy.

Think of it as a form of cellular housekeeping.

And Urolithin A was being studied in relation to that process.

Human research had also begun looking at Urolithin A in connection with mitochondrial biology and measures of muscle function.

Some findings were encouraging.

Not every measured outcome improved.

That actually made the research more interesting to me, not less.

It did not read like:

“Take this and become young again.”

It did not promise instant energy.

And it certainly did not suggest that a supplement could replace regular exercise, sensible nutrition, adequate sleep, or appropriate medical care.

The idea was more modest.

And more believable.

Scientists were studying Urolithin A because of its relationship with processes involved in mitochondrial health as we age.

That was enough to make me curious.

But the more I read, the more careful I became.

Because I discovered something that matters whenever scientific research is used to sell a supplement.

Here Is the Basic Idea Researchers Were Studying

This was the part that first made sense to me.

Mitophagy is one of the body’s natural cleanup processes for worn-out mitochondria.

Urolithin A was being studied in relation to that process.

That was enough to keep me reading — but not enough to assume that every claim made for every Urolithin A product was proven.

What the Research Could Tell Me — and What It Couldn’t

Some of the best-known human studies I found had been conducted using a specific proprietary form of Urolithin A.

Those studies had not been conducted on every Urolithin A supplement on the market — and certainly not on Lonvanta, which did not yet exist.

That distinction mattered to me.

Good science is specific.

Researchers use a particular ingredient, at a particular dose, with a particular group of people, for a particular length of time.

Then they report what happened — including what changed and what did not.

So I could reasonably look at the research and think:

There is enough here to make me interested in Urolithin A.

What I could not reasonably say was:

A study somewhere used Urolithin A, therefore every bottle carrying those words has been clinically proven to produce the same result.

Those are two very different statements.

The research had answered one question for me:

Why might Urolithin A deserve my attention?

But now I had another.

If I wanted to take Urolithin A myself, how would I choose the product I was actually going to put in my body every day?

That took me out of the research papers and into the marketplace.

And there, things became considerably less simple.

There were different doses.

Different formulations.

Long lists of additional ingredients.

Very different prices.

And plenty of confident claims.

I found myself wanting something much more straightforward.

Perhaps some old habits were coming back.

Before I retired, I practiced pharmacy for many years in the Caribbean. My training and practice were there, not in the United States, and I would never present myself as an American-trained pharmacist.

But looking closely at ingredients, doses and formulations was not completely unfamiliar to me.

Now I was looking at those questions from the other side.

Not professionally.

Personally.

As someone deciding what I was willing to take every day.

What Would We Want in the Bottle?

We chose 500 mg of Urolithin A per capsule.

We chose one capsule a day.

We chose 60 capsules in each bottle.

And we wanted it caffeine-free and non-stimulant.

No elaborate routine.

No temporary stimulant buzz.

No long collection of active ingredients competing for attention.

Just one clearly dosed active ingredient in a routine we could understand.

There may be perfectly good reasons for someone to choose a more complicated formula.

That simply was not what Juliette and I wanted.

If I was going to take Urolithin A, I wanted to know how much Urolithin A I was taking.

500 mg. One capsule. Once a day.

And the decision to put 60 capsules in the bottle was just as deliberate.

Because we did not think this was something that should be judged after three days.

Why We Made One Bottle a 60-Day Journey

We never wanted Lonvanta to be presented as something you take this morning and expect to “feel” this afternoon.

That wasn’t what interested me about Urolithin A.

So a tiny sample never made much sense to us.

Neither did encouraging someone to take a handful of capsules and immediately ask:

Is it working?

We thought there was a better way to approach it.

Give yourself time to establish the routine.

Take one capsule each day.

Continue doing the things that already matter.

Move your body.

Eat reasonably well.

Rest.

Stay involved with life.

And let Lonvanta become part of that routine.

One bottle gives you 60 days.

Not because we can promise that something particular will happen on Day 30, Day 45 or Day 60.

We cannot.

The 60 days are not a countdown to a promised result.

They are enough time to move beyond simply trying something for a few days and ask a more useful question:

Does this belong in the way I want to take care of myself going forward?

That is what we mean by the First 60-Day Journey.

It is not a promise that 60 days will change your life.

It is an opportunity to give a simple routine a fair chance to become part of it.

What I Noticed for Myself

There is one part of this story I want to share carefully.

Because this is my experience.

It is not a promise about what someone else will experience.

I had been taking Lonvanta consistently for about 45 days when I began paying attention to something after exercise.

At my age, staying active matters to me.

I exercise regularly, including walking, squats and some light weight training.

There are times when exercise can leave me feeling pretty washed out afterward.

What I began to notice was that I did not seem to stay washed out for as long afterward.

That caught my attention.

But could I tell what caused that?

No.

Too many things can affect how we feel from one day to another — exercise, food, rest, stress and simply having a good day or a not-so-good one.

So I would never use my experience to predict what someone else will experience.

I cannot know that.

What I can say is that my own experience gave me another reason to continue paying attention.

And the kind of difference I cared about was not dramatic.

I was not looking to feel 30 again.

I was not looking for a burst of energy.

I wanted to remain able to exercise.

To work.

To keep learning.

To enjoy the company of people I value.

And to keep participating in the life that is still in front of me.

That is what Living Better for Longer means to me.

But my personal experience could never be the proof for someone else.

That required something different.

Trust Needed More Than My Experience

My own experience could tell me whether I wanted to continue.

It could not tell another person exactly what was in the bottle they were buying.

For that, I wanted something more objective.

Evidence that could be checked.

When we began developing Lonvanta, we asked for documentation from the manufacturer covering the ingredient, the finished capsules and the production process.

We wanted to know the dose.

We wanted to know the batch.

We wanted documentation that could be connected to the product we were actually selling.

Because saying “quality tested” is easy.

Showing what was tested — and making the information understandable — is much more useful.

That is the direction I want Lonvanta to keep moving in.

Clear dose. Clear batch. Clear evidence.

As we have results that can properly be shared with customers, I want them presented in a way that is actually useful.

Not buried in technical paperwork.

Not reduced to a vague badge.

And not used to make claims that the evidence does not support.

If you are going to take something every day, I think you should be able to understand what you are buying and how the people selling it have tried to verify it.

That feels like a reasonable standard.

And it led Juliette and me to another decision.

If we wanted someone to give Lonvanta a fair try, we also needed to make that first decision easier to make.

A Founder Introductory Offer

There was one more decision Juliette and I made.

We did not want Lonvanta to become one of those products that seems to be permanently “on sale.”

To me, a permanent discount eventually stops feeling like a discount at all.

But asking someone to try an unfamiliar supplement for the first time is different.

There is still a decision to make.

Is this something I want to begin?

So for a limited introductory period, we decided to make that first decision a little easier.

Your first one-time bottle of Lonvanta is $69.95.

The regular one-time price is $79.95.

That is $10 off your first bottle.

One bottle contains 60 capsules — a full 60-day supply.

The introductory offer is not meant to make Lonvanta look inexpensive.

It is simply our way of reducing some of the resistance that naturally comes with trying something new.

First decide to begin. Then decide whether Lonvanta belongs in your routine.

The idea is simple:

Begin the routine.

Give it time.

Keep doing the things that already matter — staying active, eating reasonably well, getting adequate rest and following the medical care that is appropriate for you.

And do not expect Lonvanta to behave like a stimulant.

There is no promised “Day 30” or “Day 60” result.

The purpose of the journey is to give yourself enough time to decide whether the routine, the product and the way we do business feel right for you.

Your purchase is also covered by the return and refund policy shown on our website, so you can review those terms before you order.

If you already know you prefer automatic delivery, Subscribe & Save is available separately for $60 every 60 days, with free shipping.

Either way, I want the decision to feel straightforward.

Know what you are buying. Know how to take it. Know what we can — and cannot — promise.

Then make the decision that feels right for you.

A Note From Us Before You Go

For Juliette and me, living better for longer has never meant trying to turn back the clock.

It means being able to stay involved in the life we already love.

To keep working and learning.

To enjoy the company of people we value.

To care for the people and things that matter to us.

And to make good use of the years that are still ahead.

That is the spirit in which we created Lonvanta.

It is not meant to replace exercise, sensible nutrition, adequate rest or appropriate medical care.

It is simply one part of the way we have chosen to take care of ourselves.

If what you have read here makes sense to you, we would be pleased for you to give Lonvanta a fair try.

And whatever you decide, we hope you keep making room for the people, activities and everyday moments that make life worth participating in.
